Cost of Tour Package

$5,400 ( Until Sept 1, 2010; $5,900 After Sept 1, 2010) Includes:

  • All ground transportation within the country of Tibet (we will travel by private buses, the most comfortable, effective and efficient mode of travel between locations).

  • All meals: Throughout the trip, it is possible for travelers to choose vegetarian or non-vegetarian meals with no problem.  We will stock up at vegetable/fruit markets as travel between villages and will be disinfecting all fruits and vegetables for added protection before they are cooked are put out for your eating pleasure.

  • Purified water: Guests will be required to drink a minimum of 2 litres of water a day, as dehydration is one of the biggest problems with travel to dry Tibet—and one of the easiest to prevent!

  • Hotels: We will be staying at clean mid-range hotels while enroute to Tibet and in a traditional Tibetan tent village set up for our exclusive use when we arrive.

  • Basic botanical exploration kit (tapes, erasers, measuring tools, magnifying glass, cardboard easel and carrying case).

  • Admission to museums, stipends for speakers and presenters when required.

  • Cost is based on double occupancy. Those desiring single accommodations, please add $500 to the Tour Package.

Fee Does Not Include:

  • Visas: (You will need a Chinese visa — which can be obtained through the mail or at the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in large Western cities;  Apply for a 45 day visa — they will probably give you one for 30 days.) Please correspond with us before you apply for your visa.

  • Travel insurance, with an Emergency Evacuation Clause.

  • Side trips to additional cities in Tibet or China that you may wish to visit.

  • Medical care, if needed.

  • Tips to guides and Tibetan staff/helpers.

  • Photography and painting supplies, including paints, brushes and watercolor paper.

  • Additional Cities/Activities: Individual activities not covered in the Tour Package, include such extras as astrology readings, massage sessions, medical consultations and donations for individual prayer pujas (prayer ceremonies at local monasteries and nunneries).

    Additional cities in China are not covered as part of the Dream of the Turquoise Bee Tour Package.  Local travel agents can make arrangements for you before you leave home to extend the end or beginning portion of your trip to visit other sites in China (i.e., the warriors at Xian, the Three Gorges Dam, and the lovely Li Jiang River). 

* If there is an official United States Embassy Travel Warning that precludes
the trip to China/Tibet, we will refund 100% of your Deposit and Tour Fee.
